The Pixel 7 and Pixel 7 Pro Just Leaked – Here’s What They Look Like

Months before they arrived, Pixel 7 and Pixel 7 Pro renders surfaced in a super early leak. Pixel 6 and Pixel 6 Pro were announced in October 2021 as Google’s latest phones. Both are sold in various regions, including North America, some parts of Europe, Japan, Taiwan, and Singapore, and both arrived with an all-new look.

The Pixel 6 series are also the first Pixel phones to come with a proprietary Google Tensor chipset, and reports suggest that Google will continue to use its own chips in its phones going forward. AR headset expected to arrive in 2024. For those hoping for a new Pixelbook, it’s also possible that a new Google Chromebook could be powered by a Tensor chip.

A new Pixel 7 Pro leak comes courtesy of Steve Hemmerstoffer (@OnLeaks) in collaboration with Smartprix. The renderings shared by the sources show that Google will only make minor modifications to the successors of the Pixel 6 phones. The Pixel 7 Pro will have a hole centered in its curved screen for the front camera. While the back shows that the phone will retain the Pixel 6’s camera visor design, it’s now merged into the frame. There are still three cameras on the back, but the main and ultrawide sensors are housed together and separate from the telephoto camera. buttons and port also appear to remain the same.

In addition to the Pixel 7 Pro leak, images of what is said to be the Pixel 7 have also surfaced recently. Rather than finished renderings, however, they are based on CAD designs. The images come from a partnership between David Kowalski (@xleaks7) and Choose the Best Technology and show that the Pixel 7 will look similar to the Pixel 7 Pro. However, those expecting the Pixel 7 to have a telephoto camera might be disappointed as there are only two cameras on the rear. It will likely be primary and ultra wide-angle cameras.

In addition to the modification made to the camera housing, it has been reported that the Pixel 7 will be a little more compact overall. Suggested dimensions are 155.6 × 73.1 × 8.7 mm (11.5 mm with camera protrusion). In comparison, the Pixel 6 measures 158.6 × 74.8 × 8.9 mm. Furthermore, the Pixel 7 Pro with dimensions of 163 × 76.6 × 8.7 mm will be slightly thinner and wider than the Pixel 6 Pro, which measures 163.9 x 75.9 x 8.9 mm. Most of the specs are still unknown, but it has been reported that the Pixel 7 will support 5G mmWave and this could be standard on all variants, regardless of whether they are purchased through a carrier or unlocked. Pixel 7 phones are expected to launch in the second half of 2022, and Google may announce the Pixel 6A before then.
